How do I capture an idea?+
Open Mapling and tap the + button. Type a title — that's all you need. You can add details, a source, a color, and connections to other ideas at any time.
How do I connect two ideas?+
Open a concept on the map and use its link action to connect it to another. Connected ideas pull together into a living, force-directed graph so you can see how your understanding fits together.
How does Review work?+
Review is a thread walk across your own map. Mapling leads you from one connected idea to the next, asks you to recall it, then reveals it. Concepts resurface on a spaced-repetition ladder (about 1, 3, then 7 days) so the things you're learning stay learned.
Where is my data stored?+
On your device. Mapling is local-first — your concepts, connections, and maps are never uploaded to a server, and you don't need an account to use the app.
How do I move my maps to a new device?+
Tap the cloud button and choose Export to save a backup file (to iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Files — wherever you like). On the new device, tap the cloud button and choose Import, then pick that file.
What does Mapling Plus include?+
Mapling Plus is a one-time purchase (no subscription) that unlocks unlimited maps, extra map backgrounds, and removes ads. If you bought it and it isn't showing on a new device, open the upgrade screen and tap Restore purchases.
Do you show ads?+
The free version shows a small banner ad — never on the map itself. Ads are non-personalized (not based on tracking you across apps or websites). Mapling Plus removes all advertising.
